Good email of the month

Hi

You have
a very interesting profile!
Is opera
your preferred singing style?
I’m starting
to listen to more classical music
and have wanted to listen to opera
for awhile,
but didn’t know where to start.
Do you
have any recommendations?
Agree re: the mango.
I bought a mango slicer
off of amazon
and it’s been awesome.
Well,
just wanted to say “hi.”
If my profile seems interesting to you,
I’d love to hear back.
Hope you’re having a good start
to your week.

Complete sentences!  Proper punctuation!  I have died and gone to grammar heaven.

Thank you, Say No to Crack!

Hats off to this guy (and his English teachers) for keeping it short, sweet, personal, AND introducing me to the concept of a mango slicer.  Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a mango slicer to shop for…

  1. 1) Did you contact him? The email is good!

    2) I have a mango peeler/slicer. It’s similiar to an apple one, but I find it sometimes mashes the fruit a bit.

2a) Even with my mango slicer I still cannot cut a mango properly. I usually end up noshing on the fruit around the pit to get it all. Messy and sloppy but I don’t really care. =)

  2. 1) The email was quite lovely, but he wasn’t someone I was interested in dating. But he gets 2 thumbs up for being a great writer!

    2) Nice! I bet the mango still tastes great even when a tad mashed.

2a) I’m not sure there is a proper way to cut a mango… I still want a mango slicer, though! The mess is all part of the fun :)

  3. Talk about serendipity, I just was looking at this:

    http://www.brightestyoungthings.com/misc-awesome/in-reality-w-uncle-bucket-an-advice-column-of-sorts/

and about 3/4 of the way down, amidst all the snarky “advice,” there’s actually a bit on how to peel and cut a mango without losing most of the fruit.

  4. Haha! That’s awesome! Everyone needs a little mango with their family/relationship/celebrity stalking crisis, right?
